WWE Superstar Jey Uso promises Manchester wrestling fans an unforgettable night ahead of the promotions stop at the Co-Op Live Arena. WWE Live will be taking place at the new arena on Wednesday, October 16.

It will feature more than 20 WWE Superstars including the likes of Cody Rhodes, Solo Sikoa, Jade Cargill, Randy Orton, and former Bloodline member Jey Uso.

An eventful year saw Jey cut ties with the first iteration of the family faction, ‘The Bloodline’, which included WWE megastar Roman Reigns and his trusted manager, the legendary Paul Heyman, and twin brothers Jey and Jimmy Uso.

Last year, Jey decided to forge his own path, and went on to wrestle as a singles competitor on the infamous Monday Night Raw.

Speaking about his current run which has seen him vying for an all-important singles championship which has so far eluded him in his career, he told the M.E.N.: “It feels good but I’m not all the way fulfilled with my singles duties until I get this championship."

But when pressed about what it feels like to be away from his former long-term tag team partner and twin brother, whom he won multiple championships with, he said: “At first it was something different, I lost my road partner, little things like that, driving and having someone to talk to all the time.

“But I’m glad I’m by myself doing my own things but as far as the little things like having company around you 24/7, I miss that for sure.”

Jey and his brother Jimmy come from what has been dubbed as professional wrestling history. Their father is WWE hall of famer, Rakishi, and they are part of the Anoa’i family. The Anoa’i is a family of professional wrestlers from the Samoan Islands whose members are famous for competing in various famous wrestling promotions, most notably, the WWE.

The Anoa’i family tree is a large and imperious one which includes the likes of The Rock, Roman Reigns, Nia Jax, Umaga and the Uso twins.

“My dad was gone all the time. It was territories so we would travel months at a time to Puerto Rica, Japan, just trying to find his way,” said Jey about his upbringing.

“I just knew that my dad would come home. It was two things. We have to be quiet to let him sleep and number two, I knew we were going to eat, it was a wild household.”

Jey will feature at the WWE Live show at the Co-Op Arena this month. The company has come to Manchester around 28 times but it will be the first time it will be held at the new arena.

Speaking about what WWE fans from Manchester can expect from him, he said: “When I come out, I want the people to know that this guy looks like a fun time. Even if you’re watching through the screen, I want to bring the energy all the time. Almost like the modern-day Ultimate Warrior energy.”
