AFCON 2025Q: Full house in Abidjan as Super Eagles hold first training

The Super Eagles camp in Abidjan came alive on Tuesday with the arrival of more players ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

21 players are now in the team’s camp with only two more expected.

Goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali and Real Sociedad striker, Umar Sadiq are the only players yet to hit camp.

The Super Eagles will have their first team training in Abidjan later tonight.

The three-time African champions will tackle Benin Republic at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday.

Nigeria tops Group D with 10 points from four matches, Benin is second with six points, while Rwanda is third having won five points.

Libya is bottom on one point. The top two teams will qualify for the 2025 AFCON to be hosted by Morocco in December 2025.
