PSV Eindhoven have signed Croatia international Ivan Perisic until the end of the season as a free agent, the Eredivisie club said on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old winger was without a club after his contract with Croatian side Hajduk Split was terminated in August.

Perisic had joined boyhood club Hajduk initially on loan in January with an agreement to make the move permanent upon the expiration of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur in June.

The former Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund player joined Spurs in 2022 and made 50 appearances over two seasons with the London club. He won the Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2020 while on loan from Inter.

Perisic has also won league titles and domestic cups in Germany and Italy and has scored 33 goals in 136 appearances for Croatia, including in the 2018 World Cup final defeat by France.

PSV suffered a 3-1 defeat by Italian side Juventus in their Champions League opener on Tuesday but lead the Eredivisie standings, having won the title last season, with 15 points from five games ahead of visiting Fortuna Sittard on Sunday.
