Jose Mourinho has expressed his delight at the prospect of becoming a grandfather ahead of his daughter's wedding this weekend.

The Fenerbahce manager is gearing up to walk his 28-year-old daughter Matilde down the aisle this Saturday (October 12), as she prepares to tie the knot with her fiancé, Danny Graham - not to be confused with the ex-Premier League footballer by the same name.

The began dating in 2016, and shortly after Matilde took Danny on a holiday to Portugal, reportedly to introduce him to her grandparents. Following their engagement in August last year, the couple are set to wed in the Portuguese town of Azeitao, at their family farm, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The official ceremony will be held at the Mourinho family home in Portugal on Saturday, followed by a second day of festivities at Herdade do Peru, in Azeitao.

As per The Mag by Flash, the wedding is set to be a strictly private affair, with over 300 guests anticipated to take part in the joyous occasion. The publication also revealed that Mourinho has arranged a dinner for 80 guests at the Jose Maria da Fonseca House Museum a day prior to the wedding, where select groups of friends and family of the soon-to-be-married couple will be in attendance.

Matilde's partner Danny is the director and co-founder of Agace and Graham, a property consultancy firm. While it's not known if they plan to have children, Mourinho has expressed his eagerness to become a grandfather.

In an interview with Esquire following his Conference League victory in 2022, Mourinho hinted at getting a tattoo to mark the occasion of his first grandchild's birth. "Football-wise I don't think I'll get any more (tattoos)," said the former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham manager.

He elaborated on his tattoo plans: "This one I promised everyone; the idea was to get a unique tattoo that only I could have: the three European cups won. The next one I might get if my son or daughter had a baby girl or boy; it would be a special gift and a tattoo could be a nice way to celebrate it."

Even though she has a famous father, Matilde has carved out her own path to success, having earned a master's degree from the Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design in August 2021. She has since launched 'Matilde Sustainable Jewellery', a London-based brand that boasts collaborations with celebrities like Stormzy and is frequently adorned by Jose himself.

The ongoing international break provides the perfect opportunity for the 61-year-old Fenerbahce coach to attend the wedding before returning to the grind as his team prepares to face Samsunspor in the Turkish Super Lig on the Sunday after next (October 20).
