Zimbabwean football export Zemura voted Player of The Match in Italian Series A encounter 

WARRIORS midfielder, Jordan Zemura was on target scoring the all-important goal for Italian side Udinese to give them a 1-0 win over Fleece in the Italian Serie A league.

Zemura was on target in the 75th minute after firing a sublime free kick, which did not give the goalkeeper any chance.

The British-born player did not enjoy the whole match following his substitution in the 89th minute for James Abankwah.

Saturday’s goal was the first this season for Zemura, who was also voted Player of The Match.

Elsewhere in France, Warriors vice captain Marshall Munetsi was on target for Stade Reims, who beat Montpelier 4-2 in a French League 1 match played Sunday.

Munetsi scored the opening goal for his side in the 6th minute before his fellow teammates added three more to earn maximum points.

Sunday’s goal was Munetsi’s fourth strike of the season, adding to the other three he scored recently.

Both Munetsi and Zemura are part of the Warriors squad drafted by coach Michael Nees.

The team will do duty for the nation in back-to-back Group J AFCON Qualifiers encounters against Namibia to be played at Orlando Stadium October 10 and 14.
