He defended his award last season when he scored 27 goals despite struggling with injury. At his current pace, he could hit 100 goals in the league this season. Here are some legends he has already outscored, per Planet Football.

Premier League legends Haaland has outscored

Eric Cantona

The Frenchman is considered the greatest Premier League signing ever. Sir Alex Ferguson brought him to Manchester United in 1992. He helped the Red Devils win four Premier League titles in five years, cementing his status as one of the club's greatest-ever players.

Cantona scored 70 goals for Man United and Leeds United in 156 matches, and Haaland has surpassed him after a few more matches.

Luis Suarez

Suarez was sensational with Liverpool, scoring every kind of goal. In the 2013/14 season, he came close to helping Liverpool end their Premier League drought with 31 goals. However, they fell short, and he would depart years later.

The Uruguayan played four seasons in the Premier League and scored 69 goals in 110 matches.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The former Arsenal striker made a superb start to life at Arsenal, but disciplinary issues forced him out. He then joined Chelsea, but the transfer didn't bear fruit. The Gabonese played 143 games in the English top flight and scored 69 goals. He won the Golden Boot in the 2018/19 campaign.

David Beckham

The Man United academy product scored some wonderful goals during his time in the Premier League. He made his mark at the club, winning every trophy available. The English legend scored 62 goals in 265 appearances. Beckham also registered 83 assists.

Gareth Bale

The retired Welsh winger scored some incredible goals for Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid, including in the Champions League final. Surprisingly, he only scored 53 goals in 166 games before his big-money move to Real Madrid, where he won five Champions League crowns.
