Stat Pack: Sanju Samson breaks Rohit Sharma's record in Durban T20I blitz

SA vs IND, 1st T20I: Sanju Samson scored his second T20I hundred, scoring 107 runs off 50 balls with seven fours and 10 sixes against South Africa at the Kingsmead in Durban. Earlier, he also made a century against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.

Sanju Samson was at his very best when India and South Africa locked horns in the opening T20I of the three-match series on Friday, November 8 at the Kingsmead in Durban. After opting to bat first on an excellent pitch to bat on, India posted a decent score of 202 for the loss of eight wickets.

And it was Samson, who stole the limelight with a knock of 107 off 50 balls, laced with seven fours and 10 sixes. Until he was there in the middle, India hardly lost control of their innings. After Abhishek Sharma departed early, Samson put on 66 runs with skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

Samson got to his fifty in double quick time off 27 balls. He did not slow down and brought up his hundred off 47 balls. After Samson got out, India lost momentum and somehow managed to go past the 200-run mark. During this while, Samson also completed 7000 runs in T20s.
