After opting to bat first, Shan Masood and Yasir Khan laid the platform with a partnership of 76 runs for the opening wicket off 13 overs.

Babar came to bat at No.3 and took charge of the innings. Sarfaraz, in the meantime, tried to get on to the nerves of the opposition by trolling Babar. From behind the wickets, the former Pakistan skipper kept vocal, encouraging his teammates.

"Jaldi nahi hain, jaldi nahi hain. Bas in logo ko bolo Babar Babar karte rahe. Babar ko 40 over khila denge aur baaki saare out ho jaenge (No hurry, no hurry. Tell them to do Babar Babar. Let Babar play 40 overs and we will get others out)," Sarfaraz was heard saying on the stump mic.
