IND vs BAN: Suryakumar Yadav is the second-fastest Indian to reach the landmark of 2500 runs in T20Is after Virat Kohli, who made the record back in 2019 against the West Indies.

Suryakumar Yadav, on Saturday, October 12, became the second-fastest Indian batter to reach the landmark of 2500 runs in T20Is. The right-handed batter achieved the feat in his 71st innings during India’s third and final T20I against Najmul Hossain Shanto’s Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Amongst Indians, Virat Kohli holds the record (68 innings) that he made back in December 2019 against West Indies at the same venue in Hyderabad. Pakistan’s Babar Azam remains the fastest to the landmark in 62 innings. Babar’s teammate Mohammad Rizwan is second on the list (65 innings). Rohit Sharma reached the 2500-run landmark in his 92nd innings.
