Ranji Trophy: Nagaland leads Manipur by 186 runs

Dimapur, October 19: At the end of Day 2 in the Ranji Trophy 2024-2025 match at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Nagaland took a lead of 186 runs over Manipur. After a first-innings lead of 98 runs, Nagaland ended their second innings at 88/2 in 31 overs.

Earlier in the 1st Innings, Nagaland posted 237 runs. Sedezhalie Rupreo scored 57 runs, while Nischal Dega contributed 49 runs. Hokaito Zhimomi added 55 runs, helping Nagaland recover from early wickets. Chetan Bisht scored 36 runs.

Manipur’s Jotin Pheiroijam took 4 wickets, with Kabir and Ajay Singh claiming 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

Manipur struggled in their first innings, losing early wickets and managing only 139 runs. Jotin Pheiroijam top-scored with 58 runs, and Rex contributed 27 runs. P Prafullomani added 20 runs.

Nagaland’s bowlers were led by Suchith, who took 5 wickets. Captain Jonathan Rongsen took 3 wickets, and Imliwati claimed 2.

In their second innings, Nagaland added 88 runs, extending their lead to 186 runs. Nischal Dega is unbeaten on 62*, and Hem is on 11*. Kabir and Ajay Singh each took a wicket for Manipur.
