2nd NECDC Senior Men’s Interstate Friendship Tournament 2024

Dimapur, September 24: Meghalaya beat Arunachal Pradesh by 111 runs and Sikkim beat Mizoram by 158 runs on the second day of the 2nd NECDC Senior Men’s Interstate Friendship Tournament 2024.

In the match between Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Meghalaya secured a dominant win over Arunachal Pradesh by 111 runs, thanks to a brilliant century from Wallambok Nongkhlaw who scored 105 off 110 balls, earning him the Player of the Match title. Eventually Meghalaya were bowled out for 312 in 46.2 overs, with Likha Sonia and NDR taking 3 wickets each.

Chasing the stiff target, Arunachal could managed only 201/6 in the allotted 50 overs, with Techi Doria top scoring with 89.

In the Sikkim Vs Mizoram match at Sovima Cricket Ground, Sikkim claimed a commanding victory over Mizoram, winning by 158 runs. Ankur Malik stole the spotlight with a stunning 6-wicket haul for just 18 runs, earning him the Player of the Match award.

Batting first, Sikkim scored 228/6 in 50 overs, with Palzor Tamang top scoring with an unbeaten 53. For Mizoram, Alfred Hmangaisang Hmar took 3 wickets.

In its run chase, Mizoram was bowled out for 70 in 34 overs, with Rohan making 23. Ankur Malik took 6 Mizoram wickets.
