Everton boss Sean Dyche has insisted that there are no reasons why the Toffees cannot replicate last season’s results against Newcastle United again this term.

The Goodison Park outfit made a grim start to their league campaign and were winless in their first five matches.

Last weekend, though, Dyche’s men snatched their maiden league win of the season against Crystal Palace and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are next.

Dyche admits that Newcastle are a very well-drilled side but the Toffees took four points from the Magpies last season.

The Everton manager stressed there is no reason why they cannot achieve the same feat again this season but he admitted that the Toffees need to start the game very well.

“They [Newcastle] are a good outfit, we know that they are well coached”, Dyche told a press conference about the Magpies.

“Our record against them was good last season.

“There is no reason we cannot replicate that but we have to play well from start to finish.”

Newcastle will be without their star striker Alexander Isak on Saturday and it remains to be seen if the Toffees will be able to take advantage of the situation.
