Chris Duncan scored a very odd submission victory at UFC Paris.

On Saturday, UFC Paris took place at Accor Arena, and in the opening fight of the evening, Duncan faced Bolaji Oki in a lightweight contest, with an unconventional ending. As Oki shot a takedown, Duncan jumped on a guillotine choke and pulled guard, squeezing for the submission. Oki fought off the choke for a while, and looked like he had finally freed himself when Duncan let go of the choke and started punching from his back, only for Duncan to realize Oki was, in fact, unconscious.

Duncan alerted referee Loic Pora who stepped in to halt the bout, awarding Duncan the technical submission victory at 3:44 of the first round.

The win moves Duncan to 3-1 inside the UFC octagon and afterwards he shouted out American Top Team teammate Dustin Poirier saying, “Don’t be silly, jump the gilly!”
