Dana White has big plans for boxing in 2025 after helping to stage Callum Walsh's Dublin homecoming last week. The 23-year-old stopped Poland's Przemyslaw Runowski inside two rounds at the 3Arena to record the tenth stoppage win of his career.

The victory saw Walsh successfully defend his WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight title and move to 12-0 as a professional. White now plans to work with other boxers over the next year or so.

"I did my first fight in Ireland and we'll start announcing stuff here (America) the beginning of 2025," the UFC CEO said after his Contender Series 73 on Tuesday night.

He added: “I have a plan. I’m going to implement that plan and we’ll see how it works. … People have been talking about the demise of boxing for 30 years and we’re still here talking about boxing right now. I have always had an idea of how I thought it should be done. I don’t know if that’s possible, but we’re going to find out. I’m coming in guns blazing.”

White closely worked with Walsh's promoter, Tom Loeffler, to stage the 3Arena event and says he also has a lot of time for Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren.

"I like Eddie Hearn very much," explained White. "He was at the Sphere fight, he came early before the fights started. I have a great relationship with him, I have a great relationship with the Warrens, obviously love Tom Loeffler and his match-making and what he does. I would probably be working with a lot of people.

“I’m sure you can assume the people I would not be working with. I don’t think you have to be a f***ing genius to figure that one out.”

Asked why now is the time to move into boxing, White stated: “Every time I get on the phone with these guys, I go, ‘Am I out of my f*cking mind?' It’s just… But I think obviously now is the time, or I would’ve done it (in 2017). I was kicking around. I was even talking about Anthony Joshua at one time and stuff like that. I’m glad I pumped the brakes and we waited. Everything is about timing. Is now the time? We’re going to find out."

“There’s a million reasons why now is (the time),” White added. “If you notice as far as boxing, even as much money as Sheikh Turki is throwing into this thing, television deals aren’t really abundant right now. There are just a lot of things I think I can do that other people haven’t done yet."

He added: "There is obviously a lot of work to do, but what did you notice about (the recent Callum Walsh event)? How fast the fights went? No f***ing podcast between fights. Yeah. So yes, the fights will move faster."
