Bohemians and Derry City clash tonight in the first of this weekend’s big FAI Cup semi-finals.

The winner will meet either Drogheda United or Wexford - who play on Sunday - in the Aviva Stadium final on Sunday, November 10.

Bohs have endured a difficult season in the league and are only four points clear of the promotion-relegation playoff, albeit with a game in hand over Drogheda.

But this is a chance to reach their third FAI Cup final in four years, although they have not won the FAI Cup since beating Derry, as it happens, in 2008.

The Candystripes remain in the hunt for a league and cup double and have fresh memories of success in this competition having won it in 2022.

What They Say

Bohs manager Alan Reynolds: “We haven’t had the season we want in the league, so this is a massive opportunity for us to achieve something this year. We need Dalymount hopping, because as we have seen before, that can be the difference in games of such high intensity like this.”

Derry manager Ruaidhri Higgins: ““We're right in the thick of it for both trophies. The players have been brilliant and at difficult moments they have responded in a really positive manner. I know how much it means to them to be successful at the club and make people happy. Hopefully we see that in our performance tonight.”
