Dana White has revealed that Conor McGregor was not in attendance for Callum Walsh's Dublin homecoming last week due to "plane issues".

Cobh native Walsh stopped Poland's Przemyslaw Runowski inside two rounds at the 3Arena to record the tenth stoppage win of his career as he successfully defended his WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight title to move to 12-0.

UFC CEO White has been a huge supporter of Walsh and was in attendance for the event, which McGregor had been expected to attend.

However, the former two-weight UFC champion "got stuck in New York" and was unable to arrive in Dublin on time due to "plane issues".

"I was talking to Conor the whole time," White said following his Contender Series 73 on Tuesday. "Conor got stuck in New York; he had plane issues, and Conor landed right when the fight was over. Conor wanted to come, and he was trying to come. He had the afterparty for him [Walsh] at his place (the Black Forge Inn).

However, McGregor did make it to Wembley Stadium to watch Daniel Dubois knockout Anthony Joshua on Saturday night and gave an update on when he will fight again.

"It will be 2025," he told DAZN. "We will see. My opponent that I had scheduled... it is what it is. I take it on board and rock on. My job is to go to the gym and be in shape. Whenever it is and wherever it is. I will be 100 per cent ready. I must get two fights in 2025. It's the promised land. Who knows (who the next opponent will be). It does not matter. Whoever, let's see. I like it to be Chandler. I wish him well and see where it goes."

McGregor also admitted he may not commit his future to the UFC after the final two fights of his contract. "I don't know. I don't think anyone knows. What happens afterwards, as I'm a free agent, I'm not sure," he added.
