Shane Lowry BMW PGA Championship prize money as he takes home massive cheque for T12th finish

Shane Lowry took home a cheque for more than €120,000 following his 12th-placed finish at Wentworth's BMW PGA Championship.

Shane Lowry was rewarded for his excellent performance at the BMW PGA Championship with a pay-cheque for more than €120,000.

The 2019 Open Champion finished in a tie for 12th after a relatively frustrating weekend at Wentworth, with a final round of 67 leaving him on -12, tied with Pádraig Harrington, Robert MacIntyre, Eddie Pepperell and Matt Wallace.

That finish earned him a cheque for €122,121.33, taking his career earnings to €22,702,413.86.

“Not bad, it’s another decent week, lot of good golf in there what more can I say but more solid golf but no real fireworks but a frustrating week really,” Lowry said after his final round.

“Lovely start on Thursday and then you’re going out playing for pride today trying to finish as high up the leaderboard as I can but I did OK.

“The shot on 18 was difficult and I played it lovely. It could have gone horribly wrong! Look, another few ranking points, Race to Dubai, whatever. Ultimately I am looking for bigger things than that.”
