Victor Osimhen Speaks On His Relationship With Other Galatasaray Strikers

Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen has expressed his positive rapport with the other forwards at Galatasaray.

Under the management of Okan Buruk, Galatasaray boasts an impressive attacking lineup featuring the likes of Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi, Michy Batshuayi, and Burak Yilmaz.

Icardi, who played a pivotal role for the club last season, is anticipated to form a striking partnership with Osimhen.

Note that since Osimhen joined the Istanbul giants, Osimhen has already featured in three matches, including the recent UEFA Europa League encounter against PAOK Thessaloniki.

After the game, which ended in a 3-1 victory in favour of Galatasaray, Victor Osimhen emphasized the camaraderie among the strikers, saying, “We have a very good relationship with Mauro Icardi. He is also a leader. Michy Batshuayi is a very good character.”

He further emphasized the team’s unity, saying, “I am very happy to be at Galatasaray. We help each other as a team. If I am not there, they are there. We will continue to win as a team.”

Note that Victor Osimhen has played three games for Galatasaray so far this season, during which he provided three assists. He has yet to open his goals account for his new team despite his goalscoring prowess.

The 25-year-old striker was very close to scoring against PAOK, but his attempt was counted as an own goal.

“Unfortunately, it was an own goal again. I feel it, my goal is very close. The most important thing is for Galatasaray to win,” Osimhen told the club’s official website.
