Top Five Contenders For 2024 Ballon d’Or Revealed

The top five contenders for this year’s Ballon d’Or have been revealed as football enthusiasts continue to anticipate the award ceremony.

Note that the 2024 Ballon d’Or award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Paris on October 28.

Ahead of the ceremony, Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr led the fan vote on the official France Football website with an impressive 64.6% of the votes in a recent fan poll on the official Ballon d’Or website, receiving only 6.6% of the votes from football fans worldwide.

The Brazil international is considered a strong candidate to win the award this year, having played a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s success last season.

Lautaro Martinez secured second place in the voting, earning 8.2% of the vote following an outstanding season with Inter Milan and the Argentina national team.

England and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has claimed the third spot with 8.2% of the vote. Bellingham had a remarkable season, contributing to 36 goals for his club and scoring twice in the Euros to help England reach the finals.

Rodri, who achieved success by winning the Premier League with Manchester City and the Euros with Spain, was ranked fourth with 6.6 percent of the votes.

The final candidate on the list was Lamine Yamal, another Spaniard, who received 4.6% of the votes.
