by Edited By: Kumar Rupesh · India TVGujarat Titans (GT) have retained their charismatic captain and player Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, B Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Gill was expected to be retained by the 2022 IPL champions. The right-handed batter didn't have a memorable previous season but he would love to set that record straight.
Gill aggregated 426 runs in 12 games at a strike rate of 147.40 including one century and two half-centuries. However, the owners of Titans - CVC Capital Partners made a surprising call by announcing Afghanistan's star allrounder Rashid Khan as their top retention.
The 2022 IPL winners have retained Rashid after paying 18 crore whereas Shubman has been retained at 16.5 crore. B Sai Sudharsan, who has already represented India in three ODIs and one T20I, has been retained with an amount of 8.5 crore.
