Liverpool star’s brother says player doing ‘sporting revenge’ – Shutting up the critics

Ryan Gravenberch has witnessed a bit of a revolution under Arne Slot at Liverpool this season.

The Dutchman has consistently put in performances of note, showcasing his ability to play through the opposition press and carry the ball forward as well.

On the way, he has picked up multiple Man of the Match accolades and everything now seems to be going right after a slow start under Jurgen Klopp.

The midfielder’s brother – Danzell, has now spoken about the Liverpool star’s rise in stature.

He told AD that his younger brother is now seeking ‘sporting revenge’ by letting his feet do the talking.

“It feels like he got sporting revenge. Just by letting his feet do the talking. That’s Ryan.”

Danzell, who is an athletic trainer, went on to speak about how Ryan has improved and matured.

“In the past, Ryan had moments when he seemed to dream a little. That was probably because it was easy for him when he was young. He didn’t always have to do that much.”

He went on to provide valuable insight about the Netherlands man’s character.

“He was sometimes absent for a while. But that has really changed. I don’t see those moments anymore. Ryan has become a guy who knows exactly what he can do.”

Danzell also hit back at those who questioned Gravenberch’s attitude and those who felt that he smiles too often.

“They used to talk about his nonchalant attitude. But if you look at the distances he’s covered, you’ll see that he’s really not that nonchalant… Maybe it’s because of his smile.”

Beyond the distance that the 22-year-old has covered, it is also vital to note that he has played every minute in the Premier League for the Reds, who are at the top of the table right now.
