“I don’t put up any barriers” – Player open to joining Liverpool, Reds ‘love’ his profile

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah’s long-term future remains uncertain as he has less than a year left on his contract.

The Reds have already started to look for the 32-year-old Egyptian’s successor and a few names have already come to light. Bologna’s Dan Ndoye is included in this list, according to Switzerland’s Sky Sport CH.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has interviewed the winger, who joined the Serie A side from FC Basel in August 2023. He says the 22-year-old is on Liverpool’s shortlist to replace Salah and they ‘love’ Ndoye’s profile.

Tavolieri asked the Switzerland international if he would take up the challenge of replacing the Egyptian at Anfield.

“I don’t put any barriers on myself! At school, when people told me that it was impossible to become a professional footballer, I didn’t listen to anyone. In the end, here I’m today,” he said.

“Really… I will never put barriers for myself. I work to play my position at a world-class club because I know I have the ability.”

Ndoye has mainly operated on the right wing for most part of his career, including in his debut season at the Italian club. Vincenzo Italiano, who arrived at Bologna in the summer, deployed him on the left wing this season.

The Bologna player isn’t the only name on the Premier League side’s list to replace Salah. On Tuesday, Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger said Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi is ‘discussed and monitored’ by Liverpool.
