The new look for the Los Angeles Clippers includes playing home games in Inglewood’s Intuit Dome. The first game combined with a win, 110-96, against the undermanned Dallas Mavericks in 2024 NBA Preseason action on Monday.

“It was great. The arena is amazing. All the stuff that comes with it is great. The fans, they were loud. I can not wait for the season to start,” mentioned Ivica Zubac.

A part of the starting unit that Tyronn Lue will use to tip off the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, he posted an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double. The Croatian big made 5/10 two-pointers to go with four steals and one assist over 23 minutes.

“We are getting there,” he described the current situation at the Clips, “We still got to get there. We are getting there slowly. Day by day. We are working and conditioning a lot in practices. I think we are almost there. But we can get to another level.”

French teammate Nicolas Batum tallied three rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals in just under 18 minutes.

For the team coached by Jason Kidd, Slovenian Luka Doncic (left calf contusion) and German Maxi Kleber (left ankle sprain) remained sidelined. Kyrie Irving (rest), Dante Exum (right wrist), and Kessler Edwards (left ankle sprain) were out as well.

Wrapping up the preseason schedule, the Mavs host the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo in American Airlines Center on Thursday. On the same day, the Clippers welcome the Sacramento Kings in Intuit Dome.
