Coming out of Round 9 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season, Cedi Osman talked about adjusting to his role at Panathinaikos Aktor.

Osman, 29, tallied 12 points with 4/6 from the field, including two triples, helping the Greens overpower Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in OAKA Altion on Tuesday night.

“Against Olympiacos, I started to get into the rhythm of the team, but obviously today was much better,” he shared in a postgame interview with Greek sports pay television network Novasports, “I’m happy that I managed to be influential in the game but that’s why I need opportunities to go out on the court and make an effort both in attack and defense.”

Facing the Reds and the Yellows in the last two EuroLeague outings, Osman averaged 10.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per contest, upping his season averages to 6.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per EuroLeague game alongside 0.6 steals and 0.2 blocks per game.

Sharing the court with Juancho Hernangomez has been a treat.

“Juancho is a great player. I played against him from a young age. Great player, an outstanding teammate and a tremendous person,” the Turkish forward described his relationship with the Spanish forward, “I think we have very good communication, very good chemistry. We can switch in defense, guarding one through four.”

After jumping to 5-3, the team coached by Ergin Ataman wraps up the double-game week by visiting Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Unipol Arena on Friday.
