Shaq McKissic ended up being the decisive factor in Olympiacos‘ latest EuroLeague win at home against Milan, scoring 22 points over 4/6 from two, 3/3 from deep, and a perfect 5/5 at the line, joining Sasha Vezenkov as the highest scorer on the team.

Talking to Eurohoops’ Antonis Stroggylakis after the game, he praised the Bulgarian forward.

“Even when we made it to the Final Four last year, where unfortunately we lost, I knew what was missing. Once I found out he [Sasha Vezenkov] was coming back… I’ve been playing with him for so many years, so for me, it was like nothing changed. For the other guys, the new guys who see what he does in practice and in the games. I told everybody: Sasha is my favorite EuroLeague player. When it’s all said and done I’ll probably have him No. 1 just because that’s my guy. [Vassilis] Spanoulis has to go to No.2, sadly. Love Sasha’s game. I’m probably his biggest fan just because he’s an incredible player,” he said.

The American all-arounder warned the EuroLeague concurrency. “Next week it could be [the game for] Tyler Dorsey. Once he finds his rhythm, everything will be more beautiful. I think we’re going to be scary when we have to fight for the season”, he also commented.
