Vezenkov and Brown lead Olympiacos and Panathinaikos to third domestic victories

Sasha Vezenkov stood out as Olympiacos improved to 3-0 in the Greek championship.

Olympiacos Piraeus bounced back after a EuroLeague road loss to Anadolu Efes with a Greek championship victory.

Georgios Bartzokas’ team improved to 3-0 in the domestic league, thanks to a convincing 77-61 win over AS Karditsas on the road.

Sasha Vezenkov led the way with 20 points, while Nikola Milutinov scored 12 in his season debut after returning from an ankle injury. Giannoulis Larentzakis and Alec Peters followed with 11 points each.

On the other side, Matt Lewis stood out with 17 points, while Nate Watson added 16 points along with seven rebounds, as Karditsas fell to the bottom of the standings with a 0-3 record.

Lorenzo Brown leads Panathinaikos past AEK Athens

Like Olympiacos, Panathinaikos moved to 3-0 in the Greek championship after defeating AEK Athens 94-74 at OAKA.

The defending champions dominated the second and third quarters, even leading 72-38 at one point, before comfortably closing out the game in the fourth period.

Lorenzo Brown led Ergin Ataman’s team with his best performance in the green jersey so far, scoring 22 points and dishing out five assists. Marius Grigonis followed with 17 points, Mathias Lessort added 14, while Kendrick Nunn (12 points) and Jerian Grant (11 points) also finished in double digits.

Grant Golden led AEK with 16 points, while C.J. Bryce and Prentiss Hubb contributed 14 points each, with Hubb dishing out nine assists. Mindaugas Kuzminskas finished the game with 11 points.
