Nymburk and Bonn complete 2024-25 BCL Regular Season field

Nymburk and Bonn joined Benfica and Petkim in the Basketball Champions League

After Benfica and Petkim, two more teams secured spots in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, as Nymburk and Telekom Baskets Bonn won their Qualifying Tournament finals.

Nymbruk defeated BC Kalev/Cramo in Antalya, 80-66, to join Galatasaray, Promitheas, and Rasta Vechta in Group B of the regular season.

Christian Bishop led the way for the winning side with 17 points, while Jaromir Bohacik added 16. Tylan Birts and Nighael Ceaser contributed 11 points each.

On the other side, Kalev/Cramo bowed out with 13 points from Patrick Tape, 12 from Kregor Hermet and Kasper Suurorg, while Martin Dorbek chipped in 11 points.

The 2023 Basketball Champions League winners, Bonn, defeated Dinamo Sassari 78-71 to secure a spot in Group E, alongside AEK Betsson, VEF Riga, and Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan.

Angelo Allegri led the German team with 17 points, Phlandrous Fleming Jr. added 14 points, while Sam Griesel contributed 11 and Thomas Kennedy chipped in 10 points.

For Sassari, Eimantas Bendzius stood out with 21 points, Miralem Halilović added 19, while Justin Bibbins and Matteo Tambone scored 10 points each.

2024-25 BCL Regular Season completed

The 32-team Regular Season field of the Basketball Champions League’s 9th edition is therefore finalized, following the conclusion of the four Qualification Round Tournaments that took place in Antalya.

A total of 16 different countries, spread all across the continent, will be represented in the 2024-25 Regular Season of the BCL, a fact that reaffirms the competition’s truly pan-European nature for the 9th consecutive year.

Regular Season action will tip off on October 1, following the same competition format as last season, with the 32 teams split into eight groups of four teams each.

The eight group-winners will qualify directly for the Round of 16, while the second- and third-placed teams in each group will do battle in the Play-Ins for the remaining eight spots.
