by · Mail Online

Every football fan dreams of owning a home that overlooks their favourite team's stadium and, for some supporters across London, that dream has become reality.

From the depths of League Two to the prestigious heights of the Premier League, there are opportunities across the football league for fans to purchase a flat near their favourite team.

One fan who knows all too well about that is Noemi Oberhauser who lives directly above Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium.

The 24-year-old singer has amassed 17,000 followers since she started sharing clips from her home online and, with the view that she has, it's clear to see why.

Oberhauser's flat is situated above the stadium, giving the perfect aerial view of the Bees' ground. She revealed that she pays spends £1,200-a-month on the flat but similar properties are available to rent for £2,050-a-month on Zoopla.

One listing on their website shows a similar, furnished flat based on Thomas Layton Way which offers a view of the stadium from the bedroom window.

In a video that has 54,000 views, Oberhauser claims the special feature attracts eager suitors to ask her out – by watching a game together.

'I have quite a few people messaging me on Instagram about the apartment,' Oberhauser told What's The Jam.

'Mostly offering to come to watch the match with me and turning it into a little date. A lot also comment saying things like 'Marry me'. So, it is quite funny.'

While not every flat on this list will come with an assortment of potential suitors asking to come round, there are plenty of other perks that come with purchasing such a flat.

Elsewhere in east London, football fans can get a two bedroom flat overlooking Leyton Orient's ground for just £2,000 pcm, according to SpareRoom.

The property listed on their website even offers a balcony situated inside the ground, which could provide the ultimate matchday experience for any Orient supporter.

However, should anyone rent the flat, they'd have to prepare for their weekends to be interrupted by the 9,271 fans that can be packed into Brisbane Road.

Partick Thistle's stadium also has a block of flats situated in a prime location for fans

There are a number of other options throughout the football league as well.

Wimbledon's Plough Lane offers a selection of flats that overlook the stadium after it's redevelopment which began back in 2018.

Overall, 600 residential properties and a range of community facilities were built as part of the project and they offer a variety of different views over the ground.

Scottish side Partick Thistle have a similar situation, with a large block of flats positioned just behind the stadium which offer a prime viewing location for fans.

Similarly, residents in the Valiant House building - just a few metres from The Valley -  offer a fantastic view over the home of League One side Charlton Athletic.

The 27,111-capacity stadium in south-east London is surrounded by several houses and apartments - with those on the top floor getting an ideal view to watch games.

One supporter who has lived in the building for the past two years, opened up on her matchday experiences in an interview with The Sun.

Philippa Banse told the outlet: 'Living so close to the stadium is actually good because you don't have to pay for a ticket.

'From where I live, I can see the whole pitch - I just can't see the goal. Apart from that, I can watch the whole game.

'Some of the games I watch, but not all of them. If I hear shouting, or I hear 'goal', I may have a look to see who's scored.

'At first, the noise was a problem for me but I'm now used to it. The issue now is parking. When they're playing, it's not fair to the residents, especially when we want to get out.

'One time we got told we've got to wait two hours before we can go out. But other than that, there's no problem living near the stadium.'

There are also plenty of options for those outside of the UK.

Spanish side's Rayo Vallecano and Eibar - and Greek side Panathinaikos - all have similar blocks of flats next to their grounds.

While there may be the slight drawback of a noisy awakening on the weekend, just imagine the fantastic watch parties that could be hosted at one of these properties.
