Iran said the attack was a “flagrant violation of the rules and regulations of international law as well as the sovereignty and territorial integrity and national security of Lebanon (and) is considered a war crime.”

In a statement, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said, 'Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorise the world.' The IDF said that alongside Nasrallah, the commander of Hezbollah's so-called Southern Front, Ali Karaki, was also killed, along with other commanders, Times of Israel reported.

Mr Nasrallah has lead the militant political group for more than three decades.
