Warmer Temperatures Will Return To Oklahoma

The cooler fall weather was nice while it lasted, this time, in Oklahoma. Unfortunately, warmer temperatures will return to Oklahoma this weekend. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 90s by next week.

Oklahoma has seen below average temperatures since a strong cold front blew through last weekend. The remnants of which will soon wear off as temperatures begin to creep back into above average temperatures. According to the National Weather Service in Norman, temperatures will be warmer this weekend and through next week.

Although, temperatures are expected to feel quite nice, Oklahoma will see temperatures in the high 80s and low 90s by early next week.

Dry conditions expected for most Oklahoma; rain from Hurricane Helene to impact eastern Oklahoma.

The recent cold front brought several inches of rain to most of Oklahoma, but dry conditions are again expected for Oklahoma over the next week or so. But eastern Oklahoma may have a chance for a few showers this weekend.

As of Sept. 27, Hurricane Helene has struck the coast of Florida as a CAT 4 hurricane and then reduced to a tropical storm as it made its way inland. Oklahoma could see some cloud coverage this weekend from Hurricane Helene but eastern Oklahoma may be lucky to see a few showers from the storm.

The NOAA eight to 14 day extended forecast expects Oklahoma to see below average precipitation from Oct. 4-10. And the drought continues to rage on in Oklahoma as various areas of Oklahoma are experiencing a severe to extreme drought.
