Papa Johns issue urgent warning to customers over garlic and herb dip saying 'dispose of them'

The company warned customers with allergies not to eat the dip as dishes which include it

Pizza giant Papa Johns has issued an urgent warning to customers about its garlic and herb dip. In an email sent to customers today (October 19) the firm warned the dip and its vegan ranch dressing could contain traces of peanuts.

Saying safety was its top priority, Papa Johns said some batches of its 25g and recently introduced 100g garlic and herb dip could be affected. The dip is included with pizzas in small side pots.

Vegan Ranch dressing, the company warned, was used on its Philly Beefsteak Pizza and Papadias. Those with peanut allergies were urged to avoid those products.

Papa Johns, which has branches across Birmingham and the Black Country, said in its email: "We are working quickly to resolve this issue. In the meantime we will replace the Garlic and Herb Dip with our Special Garlic Dip, which is unaffected.

"Garlic and Herb Dip:
Our 25g dips are included with pizzas, and we recently introduced a 100g version. If you have a peanut allergy, please do not consume these dips and dispose of them.

Our Vegan Ranch Dressing, used on these products, may also contain traces of peanuts. If you have a peanut allergy, please avoid these items.
