DI Ray viewers blast 'ridiculous' cliffhanger as they fume it's 'absolute garbage'

During the episode, a disturbing image of a young girl was discovered on Rav's laptop, revealing a dark link between the Chapman family and the Mochani's.

The picture had been sent to Rav by Frank Chapman just three days prior to his murder. Additionally, authorities uncovered three other deleted photos of children of the same age.

Upon discovering that Rav had been communicating with an orphanage in India, it was unveiled that he was implicated in illegally smuggling children into the country for trafficking purposes.

After locating the residence where the girl was being kept, officers were informed by Rav's former girlfriend that she had been instructed to care for the seven-year -old before his disappearance.

However, during their conversation with the ex-girlfriend, they learned that Rav may not have been involved in Frank's murder as he potentially had an alibi, reports the Mirror.

As the episode neared its conclusion, the team pinpointed Rav's location, with Rachita being the closest to the scene.

In a race against time, DI Ray rushed to the location herself, while being assured that backup was en route. However, upon hearing a gunshot from within the premises, she made the decision to enter alone.

While searching for Rav inside, she stumbled upon the lifeless body of Frank's son, with Rav nowhere in sight. She heard footsteps followed by the cocking of a gun just as the episode ended.

Many viewers took to Twitter, to voice their opinions about the episode, with some expressing dissatisfaction with the main character's actions.

One viewer expressed frustration, saying: "Why would she not wait for backup after hearing a gunshot absolutely ridiculous."

Others voiced their irritation as someone else chimed in: "She needs to stop being annoyingly impulsive."

Criticism continued with another remark: "Good drama, ruined by totally implausible impulsive actions by DI Ray ...shame.."

Questioning the character's judgement, one comment read: "As if you'd walk into the building on your own! #DIRay,"

While another sarcastically added: "Wait for backup.....yeh since when does anyone wait for backup.....absolute garbage."
