Car crashes into Tamworth hotel injuring three women

Detectives are appealing for information after a car crashed into a hotel in Tamworth - injuring three women. The single-car collision happened outside the Castle Hotel in Silver Street at around 3.50pm on Thursday, October 31.

Police responding to the incident found a silver Toyota Yaris with three women inside. The rear-seat passenger was trapped inside the vehicle.

All three were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing "at this time", police said today. No-one inside the hotel was hurt.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for information following a single-vehicle collision in Tamworth. Just after 3.50pm on Thursday, October 31, we received reports of a car colliding with the Castle Hotel on Silver Street.

"Officers attended and found a silver Toyota Yaris with three women inside. The rear-seat passenger was trapped inside the vehicle.

"We closed the road while crews from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service worked to free the woman. West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

"All three women were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time. No-one inside the building was hurt.
