Cocaine and heroin seized after 'suspicious Golf rammed into a police car'

Two people have been arrested after drugs were found in a 'suspicious' Golf that rammed into a police car. The cocaine and heroin were seized from the vehicle following a pursuit in Oldbury.

West Midlands Police said the incident happened in Landswood Road at around 4pm on Sunday, October 20. A 41-year-old man, and a woman, 42, were arrested in connection with possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

They were also being quizzed over two burglaries and two robberies, while the man was also detained on suspicion of driving offences and criminal damage. They both remain in custody for questioning.

A force spokesperson said: "We've recovered drugs and arrested crime suspects after stopping a vehicle which rammed into a police car in Sandwell. It happened in Landswood Road, Oldbury, at just before 4pm yesterday after officers pursued a suspicious Golf.

"We detained a man, aged 41, and woman, aged 42, as a stash of cocaine and heroin were seized from the Golf. Thankfully, the officers were not injured."
