Harborne High Street pedestrian rushed to hospital after moped crash

A man suffered 'potentially serious injuries' after a collision with a moped rider in Birmingham. The incident happened last night, Tuesday, November 5.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics were called to the High Street in Harborne at 7.11pm. The pedestrian was treated for potentially serious injuries.

He was taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment. The crash prompted the closure of part of the high street last night.

An ambulance service spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: "We were called to reports of a collision on High Street in Harborne at 7.11pm. An ambulance was sent to the scene, arriving in 3 minutes, where crews discovered a moped and a pedestrian had been involved in a collision. The pedestrian, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment."
