Hundreds line O'Connell Street for hoax Halloween parade

Gardaí have asked people waiting on O'Connell Street to "disperse safely".
Pictures and footage posted on social media show hundreds of people lined up along O’Connell Street waiting for the hoax parade to get under way.
A rumour is understood to have circulated online that a Halloween parade was due to take place in the city centre.
Gardaí said: "Please be advised that contrary to information being circulated online, no Halloween parade is scheduled to take place in Dublin city centre this evening or tonight.
"All those gathered on O’Connell Street in expectation of such a parade are asked to disperse safely."
Members of the public gathered for the hoax event also caused brief disruptions to Luas services.
Red Line services were not operating between Smithfield and The Point and on Green Line services between St Stephen's Green and Dominick Street for about half an hour.
