Elderly Sibu motorcyclist perishes in single-vehicle crash

SIBU (Oct 31): An 83-year old motorcyclist was killed after he was involved in a single-vehicle crash at Jalan Ting Sing here today.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement said they received an emergency call of a crash at 8.35am before dispatching personnel to the scene.

At the scene, the victim, identified as Hii Ting Poh from Sungai Bidut here, was lying on the road accompanied by some members of the public.

Further examination on the victim found that he had no pulse and was not breathing.

Paramedics who came later confirmed that Hii had died at the scene, before handing over the body to the police for further action.
