Elderly man killed by fallen tree
· Borneo Post OnlineRANAU (Oct 5): An elderly man died when a tree fell on him at Kampung Tarawas, here on Friday.
The 67-year-old victim was cutting trees at his farm when the incident occurred around 1.15pm.
Ranau fire and rescue station chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said they received information of the incident at 1.16pm and deployed five personnel to the location.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
His body was handed to the police for further action and the operation ended at 2.30pm, said Ridwan.
