Melania Trump broke cover and stepped out to vote alongside her husband earlier today, but was it the real Mrs Trump standing by her man in Florida.

The former First Lady, 54, has kept a low-profile throughout the final week's of her husband Donald Trump campaigning to be elected president for a second time. However, the mum-of-one made sure she was by his side to cast her vote at the Palm Beach polling station.

But Melania's odd choice of outfit for such a big day has sparked a debate online, with many accusing her of "looking like she is attending a funeral for her husband's political career. " Body language expert Judi James believes Melania's decision to wear dark shades and a black political dress today hints she and Trump aren't as confident as they claim as Americans pick their next president.

Not only that, many are convinced it's not the real Melania out and about in Florida today. "Melania’s been wearing sunglasses inside all day today," one Twitter (X) user wrote as they shared a video of Melania and Trump entering the polling station. "The check didn't clear in time for the real Melania to make an appearance, so they had to bring the doppelganger off the bench," one of the replies to the video reads.

"I mean that’s not Melania. No cap no conspiracy, it’s just not f***ing Melania, lol," another confidently stated as another declared: "Ya'll, that's NOT Melania!!!" Yet another reply speculating if Melania is the real deal penned: "That’s the double, not Melania , easy to see when she smiles and that’s what the glasses are for."

But the theories can be quickly shut down thanks to Melania whipping her huge shades off eventually and letting photographers grab a picture of her full face. However, the jokes didn't stop as one social media commentator joking: "I’m glad they brought back Fake Melania for the season finale."

Making a bid for a White House comeback, Donald Trump is eyeing the presidency once more, a full four years after the 78 year old lost to incumbent Joe Biden in 2020. Flaunting his "very confident" stance, Donald Trump cast his vote in Florida, accompanied by Melania.

The former president sported a red baseball cap emblazoned with 'make America great again', while a beaming Melania joined him at the Palm Beach polling station decked out in dark sunglasses and a chic black polka-dot number. In spite of the forecasts suggesting a nail-biting contest and a divided voter base, Trump maintained his signature swagger claiming the Republicans had the upper hand: "I feel very confident, we went in with a very big lead today, we Republicans have shown up in force so we will see how it turns out," he proclaimed. "I have been very honoured to find out the lines are long, the conservative lines, the Republican lines are very long."

Amidst worries about post-election disorder, particularly considering previous violent events involving Trump supporters at the Capitol, Trump has come forward stating he would be the "first" to accept a "fair" election result and doesn't foresee any trouble from his followers. He profoundly stated, "If it's a fair election, I'd be the first one to acknowledge," leaving the definition of 'fair' open to interpretation.

Additionally, Trump strongly maintained that there's no necessity to press his devotees for calmness, asserting "I don't have to tell them that. Of course there'll be no violence. My supporters are not violent people," In a show of gratitude, the ex-President paid a visit to his campaign headquarters where Melania offered thanks to the team, praising them for their "hard work" and doing "a great job".
