Body found with family of missing runner informed

The body of a man has been found by police just days after a man went missing while out running. Jamin Longhurst, from Maidstone, Kent, was last seen on Sunday morning.

Police said he was near Tonbridge Road at 10.30am, heading towards the Barming area. They issued a full description of him and asked people to call 999 if they see him.

Kent Police confirmed that at around 2pm on Monday, October 21, the body of a man was discovered near North Pole Road, Barming, reports Kent Live.

The force said the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. They said formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of the 49-year-old man have been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner, Kent Police added.
