Woman found in middle of road with assault injuries

A woman was found in the middle of a road in Plympton with assault injuries. Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating two incidents which took place in Plymouth in the last few weeks.

A man in his 30s from Plymouth has been arrested in relation to both incidents and is currently on police bail.

On Saturday, October 5, a woman was found by a member of the public in the middle of the road in Boringdon Hill, Plympton, near Woodside Animal Sanctuary.

Police say she had injuries consistent with having been assaulted. Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch by 101 or via the website quoting 50240252327.

It comes after police received reports that a man visited a woman's address in Durnford Street on September 29 and tried to get her attention by calling to her. The woman refused to go outside to the man, who then assaulted an unknown man who was passing by.

Devon and Cornwall Police are trying to locate the assault victim. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact 101 visit the force website quoting 50240247012.
