Person injured after serious assault outside Plymouth primary school

A person has sustained injures after being assaulted outside of a primary school in Plymouth. Police were called to reports of a serious assault on Cambridge Road this afternoon (Monday, November 4).

At the time of writing (4.20pm), there are multiple emergency services, including a critical care team, outside Ford Primary School. Cambridge Road is fully shut and a police cordon is in place.

A witness told Plymouth Live that there are "at least eight police vehicles" at the scene. An investigation has now been launched by police.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are currently in the area of Cambridge Road following reports of a serious assault. One person is believed to have sustained injuries and enquiries are ongoing."
