Crew inspected sani-line

A City of Vernon crew partially blocking traffic in downtown Vernon Thursday has been explained.

City spokesperson Josh Winquist said crews were inspecting the sanitary mainline as a part of routine maintenance.

The city van blocked the turning lane from 30th Avenue onto 30th Street for a few hours Thursday morning.

Equipment could be seen going down into manholes with cameras looking through lines.

Crews packed up and left the area at about 11:15 a.m.
