Collision closes Abbott St.

Abbott Street is closed after a crash at a construction site near the Kelowna Paddle Centre Thursday afternoon.

Emergency crews are on the scene assisting an elderly person whose vehicle collided with a truck before coming to rest at the construction site near Cedar Avenue.

A Castanet reporter at the scene indicates officials believe the driver suffered a medical emergency before the crash.

The person has been transported to hospital. The extent of the injuries remain unknown at this time.
