Man arrested after "disturbance" in Rosshead area of Alexandria

A number of police vehicles were spotted in the area on Saturday afternoon, with a 41-year-old man set to appear in court this week.

A man is set to appear in court this week, after an incident in Rosshead over the weekend sparked a major police response.

On Saturday (October 12) afternoon a number of police vehicles were spotted around Heather Avenue and Colquhoun Drive near Argyll Park, with a 41-year-old man arrested and charged following what police have labelled "a disturbance".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.25pm on Saturday, 12 October, 2024, we were called to a report of a disturbance in the Colquhoun Drive area of Alexandria.

“Officers attended and a 41-year-old man was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 15 October.”
