A woman who posted naked photos of her dad's lover online in a "revenge" plot has been jailed for three years after the judge said her crimes were "vindictive, selfish and vengeful offending."

Eleanor Brown sought payback on her dad, Geoff Brown after he cheated on his wife with a married woman 10 years ago. Eleanor uploaded intimate snaps of her dad's mistress onto an escort website. She almost shared the naked photos on Gumtree to advertise sexual favours for £5 but changed her mind.

Instead she signed her on an escort site, with the profile title “Ex-police with all my uniform which I like to wear for my clients” and used the phrase “kinky copper”. She added the phone number of the woman's husband, meaning all calls from potential customers would go directly to his phone. The victim's husband was repeatedly called by strangers, jurors were told, The Mirror reports.

Brown also posted "derogatory comments" about the woman on her husband's business website and messaged the woman's daughter, saying: "I will make sure your mum is never allowed to forget what she did to my family."

Sentencing her today, Judge Alex Menary said that Brown’s attitude after she was arrested showed she was “utterly, utterly unapologetic”, “totally devoid of any moral compass whatsoever” and that her “lack of remorse was staggering”.

Jurors were told Brown's father had an affair with the woman more than 10 years ago, while both of them were married. It is alleged the affair came to light in 2015 when the defendant's mother emailed the intimate photos and videos the woman had shared during the affair to her husband.

The prosecutor told the jury the accused believed the woman "would be too embarrassed" to go to the police. Giving evidence to the court, the woman said she experienced "a deep, sickening feeling of just complete panic" when she found out intimate photos of her had been posted online.

The defendant had noticed the woman’s husband had started a business and this was a trigger for first posting offensive messages on his Facebook page, calling his wife a “home wrecking s***” and a “tramp”.

Her husband said he had also received abusive messages from the defendant after contacting her parents to ask her to stop, the court heard. He told the trial he could "understand that [Brown] was frustrated about what happened", but added: "I don't understand why she was hell-bent on trying to damage the business that I was running."

Geoff and Sarah are still together

The defendant's behaviour was "a mean and calculated effort to cause [the woman] distress in an act of revenge", the prosecution alleged. During the second week of her trial at Leeds Crown Court, Brown - from Morley - changed her plea to guilty, before she was due to give evidence. She admitted two counts of sharing private sexual photographs of the victim without consent.

Judge Alexander Menary said her admission of guilt had come at the "eleventh hour and 59th minute". Adjourning the hearing ahead of sentencing, he said it was "almost inevitable" she would go to prison "because of the nature of the offending and the persistence of it".

The judge said Brown “conspired” with her sister, Sophie, and her mother, Sarah, to create the fake profile. The court heard Sophie and Sarah are both ex-police officers. Judge Menary said the escort site post included the husband’s mobile number and he was then bombarded with texts and calls after it went live.

He heard that Judge Brown’s father, Geoff, had an affair with her victim when they were both police officers, but it ended and both of them stayed with their spouses. In a victim personal statement read in court, the woman said that to describe her feeling “violated” was an “understatement”.

Harry Crowson, defending, said it was “unfathomable” how Brown got involved, saying: “She became a warrior in war she ought never to be fighting”. Mr Crowson added: “She needs to stop fighting a battle that’s not hers.”
