Police probe van fire on Scots residential street

A van burst into flames on a quiet Scots residential street in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Kirktoun Park in Ballingry at around 1:40pm on Saturday, October 19.

Fire crews and police officers remain at the scene. Locals reported that the white Transit van was parked on the street before the incident.

It is unclear at this stage how the blaze started.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.40pm on Saturday, 19 October, 2024, we were called to a report of a van on fire in Kirktoun Park, Ballingry.

“Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.”
