Police release CCTV of men hunted over Edinburgh street attack that left man in hospital

A 53-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment following the sickening attack on Gracemount Drive last month.

Cops have released CCTV images of two men they are hunting in connection with a street attack in Edinburgh.

A man was rushed to hospital following the brutal assault on Gracemount Drive in the south of the capital last month.

The 53-year-old was set upon at around 10pm on Tuesday, August 27.

The first man wanted by police is described as white, around 30 years old, tall, and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, a black zip up hoodie, and black Adidas trainers with white sole and stripes.

He spoke with a local accent and it is believed he may have links to Bonnyrigg in nearby Midlothian.

The second man is described as white, aged between 30 and 45 years old, of heavy build, and with short brown hair.

He was wearing a red/orange hooded top with white drawstrings, blue jeans, and white trainers.

Detective Constable Richmond of Edinburgh CID said: "I would urge the men pictured, or anyone who has information relating to him, to contact police as soon as possible.

"You can contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference number 4231 of August 27, 2024, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
