Police make further arrests in connection with the death of Ayrshire man

A third man has been arrested in connection with the death of Ayrshire man John Taylor in Kilwinning.

Mr Taylor, aged 44, was found with serious injuries on Pollock Crescent around 1.55pm on Friday, October 18. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Earlier today, police revealed that a 53-year-old man was arrested in connection with Mr Taylor’s death.

Now a further arrest has been made, with police confirming a 19 year-old man is also in custody.

A 26-year-old man was previously arrested and charged in connection with the death earlier in the week.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Detectives have set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team, which can be submitted anonymously.

Alternatively, anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1878 of 18 October 2024.
