The search for missing mum Victoria Taylor has intensified after her belongings were found at the spot she vanished. The 34-year-old was last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, on September 30 around 9am.

She has not contacted her family or friends since sparking a huge search across the county. Police say she was last seen dressed in blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffer jacket with white stripes down the sleeves, and a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper.

A chilling update was revealed last night after some of her belongings were reportedly found on the banks of the River Derwent, which is currently being searched, reports the Mirror. The river, around 23 miles southwest of Scarborough, is being combed by specialist underwater search teams.

It is believed the mum was last seen in Commercial Street, Norton, heading towards the library. Her devastated sister Emma Worden said in an appeal for her to return: “Vicky, just come home. We just want her home. She's got a little baby and her partner. We're just so worried.

Victoria’s other sister Heidi added: "She's a very popular person. Obviously, she's a nurse and looked after so many people's parents around here." Concerned friends and family have put up posters near her home and further afield. One volunteer said she had handed out more than 100 posters around Malton, while others spread the word in York, Leeds, Scarborough, and Halifax.

A Facebook group has been launched, quickly gaining over 2,700 members as the community joined together to help search for Victoria. The group wrote this morning: “Day 4 searching for Victoria Taylor, We will not give up on you and your family.

“The majority of Malton and several other areas are searching for you!!! I’m praying and hoping each and every day to hear good news. Please, everyone, carry on going to the lengths you are to bring my beautiful friend and neighbour home to her gorgeous family. Please go so carefully in the process it's looking like another wet day. Let's bring her home.”

Another concerned friend added: "Every day I’m praying for some positive news. Vicky you are so loved by lots of people and your family and friends need you home. [You are] one of the best nurses I’ve ever met and loved by my dad, who you care for." Inspector Leanne Anderson from North Yorkshire Police said: “There are a range of enquiries taking place to try and locate Victoria. This is still a missing-person enquiry, and the focus of our activity is within the Malton / Norton area.

“Extensive searches will take place today and I would urge members of the public in the Malton / Norton areas to remain vigilant and report sightings or pass information to police immediately on 101 or 999.” Victoria is described as white, approximately 5ft 6 in height. Anyone with information is urged to call 101 and quote reference 12240178710."
